Christmas greetings

Happy Christmas everybody.
As you may know, Alan and I have been on the road since July, and as a result I have not been able to print my usual Christmas letter, so I have decided to make an electronic one for you all to see. The photos of our family mostly date from May as I do not have any recent ones. Sorry!

Many of you may have been following our travels on my blog at alanandlibbycavenagh.blogspot.com
We have had a marvellous six months and will be returning to our Surry Hills home in mid January. The photo of Alan and I was taken at Cape Leveque in the north of Western Australia and there's one of us by the Swan River in Perth with Alan's brother and their wives.

Our first significant event in 2010 was the birth of our first grand daughter, Matilda, to Kat and Tim - a brother for Oliver. She was born on Australia Day and is just a little treasure. Tim and Kat have announced they plan to get married in February 2012, so that will give us something to plan for next year! The photo shows Matilda at her baptism in May and there's one of Tim and Kat taken then too.
Sam turned 30 in May! Ouch! He and Zoe and young Zoeluma visited Zoe's family in London midyear and had a wonderful time. They came home via Disneyland and caught up with some more of Zoe's family there. Its hard for me to find a recent photo of them, but they feature in the group photo at Tim's birthday in May and there's a goofy photo of Zoeluma wearing funny glasses at Matilda's baptism, also in May.
Joe and Sara also travelled overseas to North America where Sara attended the Burning Man Festival, and Mexico and Guatamala where Joe competed in the Bicycle Messenger World Championships. The picture above shows them in Kings Park in Perth where we caught up for a weekend mid-October. There's also a photo of Joe with Oli on his shoulders.
Apart from our "Big Trip", we went to China in May with David and LT for a whirlwind exploration of Shanghai and Expo. It was fun and frenetic, but we loved Shanghai and Expo was an amazing experience. We also went to Melbourne on two separate trips - one to catch up with my Dad's side of the family, and the other for Rebecca Cavenagh's 30th birthday.

I trust you have all enjoyed 2010 as much as we have and I wish you all the very best for the Christmas season and the new year. Alan is a Facebook fan, so by becoming his friend, you can keep up with all our news.

Love
Libby and Alan
